History of ITL:

------------------------------------------

In 1995, Dr. David Ryon envisioned the conceptual framework of Image Technology Laboratories picture archiving and communications system aimed at electronically integrating the diagnostic images, modalities, and business functions into one seamless system.  When it was discovered that commercial vendors did not offer the products that could provide a single, comprehensive solution, Dr. Ryon joined forces with Mr. Lewis M. Edwards to lead the engineering of a fully-integrated RIS/RIS product.  With over 20 years experience at IBM as a senior software design engineer and image management / network expert, Mr. Edwards was the ideal partner to translate the project into reality.

The RIS/PACS system was successfully implemented at Kingston Diagnostic Center, the imaging center founded by Dr. Ryon in Kingston, New York.  ITL quickly realized that there was a growing demand for a PACS system that would automate the imaging center while improving the radiologists productivity.  Dr. Ryon and Mr. Edwards designed a system that would not only meet and exceed this need, but revolutionize the digital imaging sector and enormously improve patient care. Out of this effort, Image Technology Laboratories, Inc. was born.  In 2002, ITL launched its product rollout and continues to generate significant interest from the medical community.
